Cheap All-inclusive Honeymoon Packages

When we are helping you plan any trip, we try to avoid the “C” word.  But lately, so many people have asked for “cheap” honeymoon packages, that it’s time we talk about it. Although we offer high quality service- we can still find you a cheap honeymoon to suit your budget. We are here to help you, and our services are free, so we try our best to give what you ask for.

Quick point: With an all-inclusive honeymoon, it will cost more upfront. You’re not just paying for your hotel- you’re paying for food, drinks, alcohol, entertainment, a pool, the beach, and activities. In the long run, this will save you money- and can actually help you stick to your budget! With a typical trip, you book your hotel and either pay for airfare or take a road trip- it’s not too bad planning for those expenses. Then once you get there, you still have to figure out meals, activities and entertainment- which can add up fast if you’re not careful (and who wants to be careful on vacation?). Cruises are very similar- you can get a really cheap deal on a cabin- but then you end up with huge bill at the end for alcohol, shore excursions, dining outside of the main restaurant, tips, and service fees! With an all-inclusive vacation, you don’t have to spend any more money while on your trip. There are no hidden fees- your taxes, fees, and tips were included in your original price. You can relax and know that regardless of how many meals and frozen drinks you have, you’re still sticking to your budget. If you’re able, you can splurge on spa treatments and island tours- but it’s not necessary to have a good time.

So, how do you start looking for your cheap all-inclusive resort honeymoon? Go to our website! Start with a honeymoon in  Jamaica – Ocho Rios, and put in your departure date and a return date of 3 nights later. We chose 3 days because this is our minimum stay requirement- we won’t book a trip less than 3 nights. Put in your departure city and hit the “Price With Air” button. Next, choose a flight. Pay attention to the flight times- if you’re staying for a short time, you’ll want to arrive early for your first day, and leave late on your last. Then, you’ll see a list of resort prices listed in order of popularity. Click on the “sort by” button and choose “price low to high”. For our dates, August 4th-7th,  leaving from Atlanta, we found the 4 star Grand Bahia Principe Jamaica for only $1555.42 total for two people with non-stop air on Delta!

Untitled-9

Now go back to our home page and do the same thing, but change the destination to “Cancun – Riviera Maya”. We chose August 4th-7th again, from Atlanta, and found the 3 star Allegro Playacar for only $1530 total with non-stop air on Air Tran. If you have more money left, you can extend your stay or choose a higher-rated resort.

Because the resort’s pricing changes every day, prices are always subject to change until booked. Saved itineraries do not mean you will still get the quoted price- your price is not locked until you book your trip and put down a deposit. These prices were obtained at 5:30 p.m. on the 4th of March.

There you go- a cheap all-inclusive honeymoon for less than $2000. No checking your bank account while on vacation, no eating fast food on your honeymoon to stay on budget. Just you and your partner, in paradise, relaxing and getting to enjoy all the food, drinks, and activities the resort has to offer. It really is that easy to find the (cheap) honeymoon of your dreams.

Why do travel agents still exist? How are travel agents free?

Like most of the world, before I actually met a travel agent, I had no clue they still existed. In the digital age we live in, I thought they were extinct, since almost every travel resource you can think of is available online for the public. Now that I’m working at a travel agency, I completely understand why travel agents are still around! The number one reason is to provide the best service and value to the customer, and you will find hundreds of blog posts explaining why you should use a travel agent. They usually explain the same thing:

1) Travel agents save clients time. By using our experience, knowledge, and back-end resources, travel agents can plan a trip in less time than the average consumer. We also make a lot of phone calls and wait on hold for hours, all to save our clients’ time!

2) Agents save clients money. We have access to extras and discounts that the public doesn’t, due to our relationships with the resorts and tour operators.

3) Travel agents make travelling less stressful! We will make sure everything is taken care of, so you don’t have to remember the little planning details.

4) A good travel agent will fix any problems that arise, within reason. Flight changes, cancellations, resort issues, etc- we will do our best to make sure you’re satisfied.

Like everything in life, travel agents aren’t helpful for everyone or even for every trip- but in the right circumstances, travel agents serve a huge benefit to customers…yet somehow, our services are free for clients! If you’ve taken any economics class, you know “there’s no such thing as a free lunch.” So who’s paying for our clients to use our services?

That’s why I’m writing this post. To me, if someone came and said “Hey, you like sodas, right? You’re thinking of buying one, right? Well let me tell you about all the sodas and help you find the right one for you. No need to pay extra for my service, the soda company is paying me to do it!”– I would be immensely suspicious that Coca Cola is going to have this person manipulate me into buying a Coke brand soda, instead of something that fits me better. Because of this, I suspect our customers may think it’s a little weird for resorts to pay us to help them. Once you look under the surface, however, you will see that travel agency’s survival depends on doing what’s best for the customer- not the resorts.

Resorts need guests, obviously, to fill their rooms and make money. However, they also need these guests to be happy with their stay so they spread the word and keep coming back. Resorts don’t want unsatisfied or disappointed guests- which is where travel agents come in. For every personality that exists, there is a resort to suit it- and our job is to match clients with a resort they will enjoy. We get to know the clients, their desires, and expectations, so we can send them to the right place and make both them, and the resort, happy. We are matchmakers, and we are responsible for hundreds of clients falling in love with their ideal resorts!

It takes a lot of time to get to know resorts and clients, which is why it’s hard for resorts to do it themselves. When a client books with a travel agent, they have that one agent who gets to know them and helps them through the entire process. It can take a few weeks of working with a client to help them make the best decisions, and that is why we’re here. With a resort, you usually contact a call center, and they simply want to make the sale. They probably have quotas and scripts to use, and they may not have even been to any of the locations. Any problems that come up are handled by any other random call center employee- it’s rather impersonal, however nice they are. Plus, by calling a resort chain directly, they are only going to know about their own brand, and would never tell you that a competitor may be a better option. While resorts make more money by booking directly through their call centers, they know that clients are happier and get better service with a travel agent- which is why resorts are willing to pay for our services.

In order for us to be great matchmakers, we not only have to know the client, we have to know the resorts as well. That’s where the resort/travel agent relationship comes in. Resort chains educate travel agents about their brands, target markets, locations, everything that is included, and what makes them special. Resorts also have to make sure we have the resources to market their brands and show the value they provide to customers. This includes promotional items (swag), special offers, and exclusive prices that the public doesn’t have access to. Resorts have to prove to travel agents that they provide real value to customers, and then demonstrate their dedication towards keeping those customers happy. If we have a client with an issue at a resort, and that resort doesn’t help us resolve the problem- our trust in that resort is damaged.  If a travel agent can’t trust a resort to keep their customers happy, we will stop referring clients to that resort. A bad vacation reflects back on the resort and the travel agent who recommended it.  A healthy resort/travel agent relationship is a loop of agents sending the right customers to the resorts, and the resorts making sure the customers stay happy while they’re there. We’ll keep sending clients if they keep making them happy! Don’t get me wrong- resorts definitely do their best to encourage travel agents to lean towards their brand- but in the end, it’s only worth sending a client if it actually fits their desires. Having a bad review for your agency or unhappy customer just isn’t worth it. If it won’t make the customer happy, no amount of incentives is worth the damage to our reputation.

I hope this explains why travel agents still exist, what value we provide to customers, and why the resorts are willing to pay for you to use us. In the end, resorts and travel agents have the same goal- to make you, the customer, happy. If you’re looking for a vacation, but not sure where you want to go and need some guidance, contact a travel agent. We will do our best to get to know you, your expectations, and desires, and match you to the perfect all-inclusive resort.

Customer Wedding and Honeymoon Testimonial- Iberostar Rose Hall Suites and The Caves Resort in Jamaica

Thank you so much Megan! Everyone truly had a great time at Iberostar Rose Hall Suites in Jamaica.  So many friends and family were really impressed with the resort, service, food etc… A huge group even mentioned wanting to take a big group trip every couple of years to all of the Iberostars!  We had a great wedding and can’t say enough about the staff at the resort and how fun/engaging they were.

Our honeymoon at The Caves was absolutely spectacular.  I really want to visit all of the Island Outpost resorts after the experience we had there.  The resort was on the cliffs and the room we had was great.  There was a private patio and reading area on the second floor and a private outdoor table with bay windows that opened out directly above the sea on the first floor.  It was a complete contrast to the large all inclusives.  The space was very intimate and quiet.  After 11PM, when a lot of the service staff got off, you were encouraged to go behind the bar and make your own cocktails.

The cave dining experience was amazing.  The candles, food, everything about it was great. Additionally, the rum bar in the larger cave was also awesome.  Breakfast and lunch were served in one restaurant and dinner was served in a different restaurant/bar.  There was wifi in all the restaurants, the check in area, and the rooms.  The alcohol selection was top shelf and the food was all fresh, local and delicious.  You can request any Jamaican specialty you would like and they will be sure to serve it before the end of your stay.  The staff was very nice and helpful.  The views from the rooms and the various points of the property were breathtaking.  There were various cliffs to jump into the sea and also a ladder.

Deciding to use a travel agent for our destination wedding was one of the best decisions we could have made.  While we are from Chicago, we had guest coming from as far as Ecuador for our special vacation.  Megan Whalen and Honeymoons Inc juggled the bookings of about 100 guest, dealt with 100 different personalities, needs etc with tremendous professionalism.  This allowed my wife and I to focus on other details and trust that all our guest would arrive happy, safe, and sound.  I strongly recommend that anyone considering Honeymoons Inc use them.

Thanks,

Greg
