When Abe Issa bought the Tower Isle Hotel back in 1949, he didn’t realize what he started. Considered the Father of Jamaican Tourism, in 1978 he rebranded the property as Couples Ocho Rios, and made it the first all-inclusive resort in Jamaica. The Issa family still owns the Couples Resorts chain, which has grown to include 4 properties- two in Negril and two in Ocho Rios. Despite their success, they’ve managed to stay true to their Jamaican roots and create the perfect combination of Jamaican style and luxury.

This resort does not have good sunset views and is about 2 hours from the airport, but it’s worth it!!
